“Sochi 2014″ crossed the landmark milestone in 1 500 days before the start of the first in the history of Russia Olympic and Paralympic Games. Now in Sochi actively working on upgrading infrastructure and construction of new high-tech sports facilities, which very soon will be the main sports of the world.
President of the Organizing Committee of the Sochi 2014 Dmitry Chernyshenko said:
“In just 1 500 days of the best athletes of the world will come to Sochi to take part in the world’s largest sports forum. This means that we as organizers of the Games is 1 500 opportunities for new developments, whereby in 2014 we will have a truly innovative games.
2010 - a very important year for the entire project “Sochi 2014″. After Vancouver Sochi will receive the Olympic flag and officially becomes the capital of the next Winter Games. Our team will also take an active part in the IOC “Browser” and their eyes will see how to make the Winter Games.
I am sure that next year’s GC “Olimpstroy successfully continue to work on the construction of sports and infrastructure facilities for the Games in Sochi.
And our marketing program will continue to beat the Olympic record. In 2010 the Games in Sochi will be new partners. Also, we will announce the contest for the mascot of the Games.
